Based on firsthand experiences, this Master’s thesis explores the intersection of designer and archivist through visual systems.

Contextualized within a web environment, the research draws on the interaction with digital tools as a central aspect of both contemporary archival and design practices. It investigates how manual interactions within a tool-based environment can shift the archive’s function towards an involved visual dialogue, thereby documenting internal processes onto both memory and image.

The project positions the artifact itself as an interlocutor: a tool that triggers ideation and reintroduces the archive’s epistemic structures into the creative process of practitioners.
