This Bachelor’s thesis investigates how handcraft observes the conditioned mind, offering an invitation to view thinking and making as a relational process. Sitting at a backstrap loom is a quiet mutiny against a culture driven by speed and efficiency.
By anchoring attention in somatic rhythm, the loom exposes internalized habits and a system which treats time as currency and bodies as machines. Handcraft reclaims gestural knowledge, dissolving the division between maker and material.
Mirroring the loom, this thesis approaches documentation as a living archive where text acts as the structural warp and textile fragments serve as the experiential weft.
