The Compact Living Unit (CLU) is a modular, standardized interior system for temporary housing in existing buildings, particularly vacant office and commercial spaces.

Designed for quick, reversible installation with minimal structural intervention, it provides affordable housing for students, commuters, expats, and other short-term residents while enabling property owners to activate unused spaces.

Each unit consists of six prefabricated modules—sleeping, living, kitchen, bathroom, entrance, and a central service core—that can be transported, assembled, and reconfigured to suit different building typologies and temporary housing needs.
