This Master’s thesis explores creativity as a psychological and experiential process, examining how scenographic design can make creative stages and mental barriers visible. Combining interviews with creative practitioners and research in creativity psychology and design studies, it investigates creativity as a process shaped by emotion, uncertainty, and problem-solving.
The project culminates in an immersive installation translating Graham Wallas’s creative stages into a spatial, sensory experience using projection, sound, light, movement, and performance. By connecting psychological processes with spatial design, the thesis promotes reflection, self-awareness, and more sustainable creative practice.
