This Bachelor’s thesis is a visual dictionary of gay codes and culture, presented through a grid inspired by gay dating apps.

Each of 25 codes offers two perspectives: GAZE, how it appears from outside, and GAYZE, what it means within the community. Codes are concealed through ASCII and binary, revealed only through interaction. The website is accessible exclusively offline via a penis-shaped USB stick.

The selected codes reflect contemporary gay culture, language and aesthetics that have shaped its history.
